Canva Capsule Design Contest

September 4, 2025         ATtendees : 16+

TechHub of H.R. College organized a Canva Capsule Design Contest, with submissions due on 2nd September 2025 and results declared on 4th September 2025. The competition encouraged students to showcase their creativity, storytelling, and design skills. Entries were judged by graphic designer Ms. Tarishi Saxena, who recognized outstanding work. Overall, the event provided a valuable platform for students to explore and enhance their creative abilities.

Title: Punjab Flood Relief Donation Drive

Date: September 16, 2025

Tech Hub, in collaboration with the NSS Unit of H.R. College, organized a donation drive from 16th to 18th September 2025 to support Punjab flood victims. Students and faculty contributed essential items including 373 kgs of ration, clothing, medicines, and utility materials. All donations were carefully sorted and handed over to Shri Guru Gobind Singh Sabha Gurudwara, Vikhroli, for distribution to affected families. The initiative reflected strong compassion, teamwork, and commitment to social responsibility.

EVENT REPORT: AI X Finance with Zell Education

The Tech Hub Team hosted an insightful session on AI X Finance, conducted by Ms. Ritika Rathod from Zell Education, highlighting the impact of Artificial Intelligence on finance, creativity, and technology. She emphasized the responsible use of AI and shared practical strategies to overcome creative blocks while maintaining originality. The session also explored futuristic perspectives on integrating AI with human functions to enhance efficiency and understanding. The event concluded with participants feeling inspired to adopt AI thoughtfully, aligning with Tech Hub’s mission of promoting meaningful learning opportunities.

EVENT: AIfluence – Mastering AI the Right Way

The Tech Hub of H.R. College organized an insightful seminar led by Mr. Sravana Sai Kumar, Chief of Staff at Zell Education. The session introduced students to popular AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Gamma, along with the importance of structured prompt writing. Participants gained insights into balancing human intelligence with AI and explored its real-world applications. The event saw enthusiastic participation and empowered students with practical knowledge to become future-ready in an AI-driven world.

EVENT: World of 3D – 3D Modeling Using Blender

The Tech Hub of H.R. College conducted an informative seminar led by Sarthak Choudhary, introducing students to the fundamentals of 3D modeling using Blender. WORKSHOP ON CYBER SECURITY

TechHub of H.R. College conducted an insightful webinar on Cyber Awareness and Cyber Security in collaboration with Trade School Team. The webinar hosted by Mrs. Sunita Rai, who has 18 years of experience in this field, covered various important aspects related to cyber awareness, types of cyber-attacks and prevalent cyber-crimes and their prevention. All the participants received e-certificates at the end of the webinar.

DIGITAL MARKETING WEBINAR

TechHub of H.R. College of Commerce & Economics organised an insightful Digital Marketing Webinar on Zoom. The speaker of the webinar was Poonam Mashru, founder of Softpro Computers and DMTI Softpro, a Digital Marketing Training Institute.

Ms. Mashru enlightened the students about how they can create a strong and professional LinkedIn profile to attract employers. She also talked about the scope in Digital Marketing as a career option. At the end there was a Q&A session and all participants received an e-certificate and an e-book on creating a strong LinkedIn profile.

Techhub x Hewlett Packard (HP) Laptop Gaming Event

Date: 5th and 6th of October, 2023         Attendees: 127

TechHub HRC, in collaboration with Hewlett Packard (HP), proudly organized the first-ever Laptop Gaming Event at H.R College on October 5th and 6th. The event showcased HP's flagship gaming laptops, Omen and Victus, along with an entire gaming setup, creating an electrifying atmosphere for participants and gaming enthusiasts alike. Games that were played include, Valorant, Tekken, Asphalt 9, and Counter-Strike. The event provided an immersive gaming experience, allowing participants to explore the capabilities of HP's gaming laptops and engage in friendly competition across various popular games. The winners of the Tekken gaming tournament will be awarded vouchers worth ₹1500 by the HP team, adding an element of healthy competition to the event. All participants received well-deserved E-Certificates, acknowledging their active participation and gaming prowess.

Advanced Excel Online Workshop

TechHub of H.R. College conducted an insightful online workshop on Advanced Excel on 8th of January, 2024 from 2pm to 3pm. The club collaborated with L&D Edutech to conduct the workshop. L&D EDUTECH is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company with an international accreditation. The workshop aimed to equip college students with the knowledge of advanced excel which is a very important tool in today’s corporate world. The workshop was graced by Ms. Jayshree Tawari, who is an experienced corporate trainer and also having trained more than 5000 college students in Advanced Excel and Power BI.

AI for Commerce Webinar

Date: 9th March, 2024         Attendees: 50

TechHub of H.R. College conducted an insightful webinar on the topic AI in Commerce, in collaboration with Uni Kaushal. The webinar aimed to make the students understand the importance and power of Artificial Intelligence in the Commerce field and how they can use AI to enhance the quality of output in their work. The webinar also included concepts regarding the ethical problems regarding use of AI and how one can solve these ethical problems. The webinar was graced by Richa Srivastava ma’am who is a data science manager at Deloitte and a very skilled personality in business analytics, data and AI solutioning and more such related fields. It was a very interactive session and the speaker also conducted a practical exercise to demonstrate the correct and skilful use of AI.

CYBER CRIME AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

October 7, 2022         Attendees: 35

TechHub of H.R. College had organised a field visit to the Maharashtra Cyber, the nodal Cyber cell of Maharashtra. The students were informed about the various types of Cybercrimes, dos and don’ts while dealing online and how to report Cybercrimes, by one of the technical person of the department Mr. Vivek Sawant.

Students also had an interactive Q&A session with the IG Mr. Yashaswi Yadav and Superintendent of Police Mr. Sanjay Shintre. One of the main members of cyber cell had made the visit possible by organising it for students of H.R. College, Mrs. Sandhya Nikam of the Cyber Cell department.

The VP of H.R. College (Degree) Mr. Navin Punjabi, the Professor-in-charge Mr. Yunus Gangat & VP of H.R. College (Junior) Mrs. Laju Sharma were also present there. The students were also shown the lab of the Cyber Cell department where all the work is carried out & the "1094" cubicle department where the complaints are handled.

CYBER SHIKSHA FOR CYBER SURAKSHA

TechHub of H.R. College organised an event regarding Cyber Crime awareness. The club invited the Cyber Crime branch of Mumbai Police to conduct a play on cybercrime awareness. The title of the play was "Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha". The Cybercrime branch of Mumbai Police conducted the play in association with the Quick Heal Foundation.

Through the play, the Cyber Crime branch of Mumbai Police informed the students how to identify whether a particular link is safe or not and also made the students aware about how cybercrime activities are conducted on the basis of the status/stories uploaded by social media users on their social media handles. The Cyber Crime branch of Mumbai Police also shared a document regarding various cybercrime activities and how to be aware of them and how to report them. They also provided the toll-free number '1930' for connecting with them for reporting a Cybercrime. The event ended with a formal vote of thanks.
