Principal Prof. Dr. Pooja Ramchandani (2020 onwards)

Dr. Pooja Ramchandani has been appointed as Principal on January 5, 2022. Before this, Dr. Ramchandani was the I/C Principal of H.R. College from July 10, 2020 until January 2022. She has recently been designated as a Professor at the University of Mumbai.

Dr. Pooja Ramchandani was the vice principal (degree college) since July 2016 and has been associated with the college as a faculty in the Department of Commerce since 2000 and a recognized Post Graduate lecturer since 2004. Dr. Ramchandani is the Head of the Department of Commerce and is a member of the Board of Studies in Business Management of HSNC University.

In her career of more than 20 years, she has taught varied subjects such as Marketing, Human Resource Management, Principles of Management, Marketing Research, and Organisational Behaviour. Dr. Ramchandani was awarded honorary D.Litt. in December 2017, for her contribution in the field of Higher Education, is a recognized guide for Doctor in Philosophy in the subject of Commerce from the University of Mumbai since 2013, and is Dean Commerce and management under HSNC University. She has published books, research papers in various national and international journals and presented papers in various conferences. Dr. Ramchandani has been on the board of syllabus revision committees at the University of Mumbai at the B.Com. and M.Com. levels. She has also served as a Chairperson, Paper setter, and Moderator of various subjects in the university examinations.

Dr. Ramchandani was one of the first to start an online platform called Creative Teachers in 2012 to share academic information related to circulars, workshops, and seminars for faculty teaching in various commerce colleges in Mumbai. She is a life member of the Higher Education Forum and All India Social Science Research group.

GEMS, Young Leaders Club, Sindhi Sangat, Flames, and several other student associations were started under her mentorship. She initiated the Parent Lecture Series in HR College and she has played a key role in the starting of the Entrepreneurship and Incubation Centre.

She has actively worked towards the growth and development of the college and her motto in life is to create responsible student leaders, who will bring a positive change to society. She is a firm believer that there is no alternative to hard work for achieving success and excellence.
