180 Degrees Consulting (180 DC) is the world's largest consultancy for social organizations. H.R. College is one of 180 DC's selective chapters in India & the first undergraduate chapter in Maharashtra. 180 DC H.R. College students will offer high-quality consulting services without the usual price tag.

The student consultants are carefully selected & trained by top consultants from BCG, Bain & Co, McKinsey, Dalberg, etc. with the right combination of expertise, creativity, and problem-solving ability. Improving the effectiveness of organizations can make a massive and meaningful difference to the people those organizations serve.

Project Scrap Mitra: Consulting Project

180DC HRC undertook a consulting project to support Scrap Mitra, a startup focused on transforming recycling through reverse vending machines (RVMs). Our team provided strategic insights across key areas, including the development of a comprehensive revenue model, customer analysis, and product-market fit assessment. We identified innovative revenue streams such as advertising on RVMs and the company’s website, selling recycled plastic, and monetizing consent-based data.

Project Aftertaste

May – July 2024 | 180 Degrees Consulting

Worked with Aftertaste, an NGO empowering women through handcrafted art, to enhance its revenue model and operations. Delivered eight key outcomes, including digital strategy, cost analysis, and feedback optimization. Conducted on-ground visits and provided actionable recommendations to improve visibility, engagement, and long-term sustainability.

Launch of Finsphere

Date: November 12, 2024 | Attendees: 500+

180 Degrees Consulting H.R. College launched Finsphere, an online community focused on consulting, investment banking, private equity, and finance. Within two months, the platform attracted over 500 members, offering case competitions, interview prep, and industry insights. Led by the 30-member Research Team under Nandini Agrawal and Sejal Vigirya, Finsphere bridges the gap between academics and industry, supporting students in career development and professional growth.

Project WOFA

Duration: October 1 – December 29, 2024 | Team: 2 Leads, 9 Members

180DC H.R. College partnered with WOFA (Work From Anywhere), a co-working startup focused on Tier 2 & 3 cities, to strengthen its market position and scalability. The team delivered six key outputs, including peer analysis, market evaluation, new revenue stream ideation, and a go-to-market (GTM) strategy. A scalable business model was also developed to drive sustainable growth. Led by Sejal Vigirya and Nandini Agarwal, the project provided WOFA with actionable strategies for expansion and operational efficiency in emerging markets.

Project Stock Alpha

Duration: October 1, 2024 – January 6, 2025 | Team: 2 Leads, 9 Members

180DC H.R. College collaborated with Stock Alpha, a generative AI-driven equity research startup, to develop a go-to-market and product enhancement strategy. Key deliverables included a structured content matrix, a community-building playbook for LinkedIn and Reddit, and a detailed competitive analysis. The team stress-tested 500+ prompts to optimize output and uncover backend vulnerabilities, conducted expert consultations for product refinement, and built a database of 500+ relevant professionals for outreach and user acquisition.

Arthmanthan: The Case Competition

Date: February 22, 2025 | Participants: 526

Organized by 180 Degrees Consulting, H.R. College, Arthmanthan was the institution’s first-ever national case competition, drawing 526 participants across 200+ teams, including entries from IITs, IIMs, and SRCC. Spanning three rounds—quiz, pitch deck, and a grand finale—the event saw over 50 high-quality submissions judged by industry veterans. With a prize pool of ₹6 lakhs, Arthmanthan marked a milestone event, led by President Parth Arora and Vice President Rishab Shah.
