The MUN Society is the first club in H.R College that is especially dedicated to conducting Model United Nations competitions. We are on a mission to enhance students' understanding of current affairs, international relations and global diplomacy while transforming them into dynamic leaders of the future. We aim to widen students' worldview and equip them with the essential knowledge to become intellectual global citizens. Our conferences give students a unique perspective and an enriching opportunity to gain valuable leadership, public speaking, and organisation skills.

HRMUN

The MUN Society conducted the first edition of the HRMUN. This Model United Nations competition consisted of a Crisis Committee on the Resolution of the Russia-Ukraine Conflict. Ms. Kareena Parekh, the Founder and President of the MUN Society & MUN veteran, Ms. Farzeen Harver, chaired it.
Participants were allotted various countries like Russia, Ukraine, United States, United Kingdom, India, China etc. They presented the stand of their respective countries on the topic. They discussed the current crisis and examined various reasons that led to it. They debated the various economic, humanitarian and geopolitical aspects and implications of the war. They engaged in constructive counter arguments and successfully examined the various nuances of this complicated crisis. They passed a resolution with a number of solutions to end the violence and resolve the conflict through dialogue and peaceful negotiations. This competition broadened student’s horizons and gave them an enhanced understanding of current affairs, global diplomacy and international relations.
