YOGA COMMON PROTOCOL WORKSHOP & YOGA INTERN TRAINING PROGRAM
June 11-21, 2020

For the 6th consecutive year, as part of Yoga day, a 7 day Yoga Common Protocol Workshop was organized as a joint venture between University of Mumbai, the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board, HSNC University, Mumbai and Kaivalyadhama. This program was initiated by Smt. C.H.M. College.

RIN GAYIN AVDI
August 2020

An Intercollegiate Competition was organised by Marathi Vangdmay Mandal to mark the 100th Death Anniversary of ‘The Father of the Indian Unrest – Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak’, and to honour his contribution to literature and Journalism. It involved a literature event of essay writing and a creative Poster Making competition.

The competition was organised in the first week of August 2020. Results of the same were announced on Independence Day - August 15, 2020.

ALDEBARAN
July 15, 16 & 17, 2020

Aldebaran was the 1st Online National Intercollegiate festival, where over 26 colleges across 10 cities participated. The festival consisted of 8 events and was organised by the Investment Club of the college, which was broadly divided into various categories of Finance, Management, Economics, Investment, Marketing, Advertising and Cultural followed by a panel discussion.

NUMERO UNO 2020

The Numero Uno Committee of H.R. College of Commerce and Economics organised their flagship event Numero Uno, a pan-India Mathematics and Statistics Festival, for the 16th consecutive year. This year Numero Uno conducted the national level event online. The festival experienced 2000+ participants from over 11 schools & colleges and 14 intra-college clubs.

EKAYAN…A CELEBRATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS
October 10-14, 2020

EKAYAN, a four-day inter-collegiate event was conducted by the Social and Self Awareness Club of HR College. 'Ekayan' which means Knowledge in Hindi, was a first ever attempt to celebrate Human Rights. The purpose behind this event was to raise awareness about sensitive issues such as gender discrimination, casteism, communalism and much more via an array of programmes and competitions such as poster making, poetry writing, guest lectures, monologue and so on, based on the firm belief that “knowledge is power".

Team PSDS won the Maximum Number of Awards at this Fest as compared to any other contingent. EKAYAN Winners were:

The Public Speaking and Debating Society of H.R. College hosted a one of its kind Poetry Extravaganza with active participation from 300+ students from colleges across Maharashtra.The chosen poems were about important contemporary issues and the recitations were excellent.

HR LITFEST 2020
November 7 & 8, 2020

The second edition of H.R. College's National Inter-Collegiate Literary Arts Festival was conducted by the HR Speaks, the Official Monthly Magazine team of the college. This time, HR LitFest was conducted on a grand scale with leading colleges of Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Jaipur and Bangalore participating and competing in events that tested their writing, poetry, drama and public speaking prowess.

THE DASTUR DEBATE COMPETITION
January 28 & 30, 2021

The Growth Development and Change Cell in association with the Chamber of Tax Consultants conducted the fourth edition of the iconic Dastur Debate Competition. The National Level extravaganza saw participation from more than 32 prominent colleges across the country.

The competition, spread across 5 rounds, witnessed an extraordinarily high level of debate and discussion propounded by rich arguments, facts and impeccable oration. Over the course of 2 days, participants employed the sharp dagger of their words & the powerful sword of knowledge in an enriching battle of intellects that enthralled and enlightened the audience.

The Public Speaking and Debating Society of H.R. College launched its Flagship, one of a kind, National Intercollegiate Literary Extravaganza - OFF D' CUFF 2021 in a never before seen National series framework in January 2021, conducted over the span of four months. There were around 90 colleges, including prestigious institutes like IITs, BITS Pilani, Lady Shree Ram College, Christ University, Jai Hind College, Mithibai College, NarseeMonjee College, NMIMS amongst others and active participation from students all over the nation as well as international participation from countries like Kyrgyzstan.

Premiered in a never-before-seennational format having 5national events, namely:

    DISCIDIUM
    February 13, 14 & 15, 2020

    Discidium, a Business and Economics Festival organised by the degree college students of H.R. College went online this year in the light of the current pandemic. With its motto, 'Dream, Develop and Disrupt', this multifaceted festival offered various gold and silver star events.

    One of the gold star events was Bizolympics which evoked the quiz wizards in participants. Other gold star events were Eco shastra, a perfect blend for the economics buffs and What An Idea which was a fun and challenging journey for all the budding entrepreneurs.
    The silver star events included Ad-o-Meter, a simulation of the real marketing agencies was a real crowd pleaser for all the marketing students out there. Followed by, Ring the Bell, for the stock market enthusiasts that thrived with the trading and dealings of the market. Spare the change was a brand-new event, which was added this year as a Silver Star event. The results were as follows:

    BLAZE 2021
    March 18-27, 2021

    ICHR presented the 10th Edition of Blaze, an annual Inter & Intra Collegiate festival which had participation from 9 Colleges all over Mumbai, as well as more than 10 Clubs of H.R. College, with a footfall of over 500 participants.
    This festival consisted of 14 events, which were Finance - Management - Economics - Investment Sports and Cultural based.

    BULLSEYE
    March 18, 2021

    Bullseye the flagship event of ICHR, a celebrity mock stock exchange, was conducted on a virtual platform. It provided a learning opportunity for students to gain further knowledge of the stock market and gave them a wonderful platform to display their trading skills.

    In this inter as well as intra collegiate event over 20 colleges and clubs from all over Mumbai participated in Bullseye, making it one of the most successful and happening events.

    EVERYDAY MATH - ONLINE QUIZ COMPETITION
    November 22, 2020

    The Math Club of H.R. College organized Everyday Math, an online inter-collegiate quiz competition open to students of both junior and degree college. 330+ registrations were received for the event, out of which around 200 students participated.

    WORKSHOP ON MICROSOFT POWER BI
    February 9 & 10, 2021

    The Math Club of H.R. College of Commerce & Economics organized a workshop on Microsoft power BI conducted in association with Data skills. The speaker for the workshop was Mr. Karthik Dale, Founder Data Skills,Hyderabad.Microsoft Power BI is a business intelligence tool that provides non-technical business users with tools for aggregating, analyzing, visualizing and sharing data. This workshop was open to both junior and degree colleges, with 200+ registrations received, out of which around 120 students attended on both the days.

    NUMBER NINJAS 2021
    March 21, 2021

    The Math Club of HR College of Commerce & Economics conducted its flagship event - Number Ninjas conducted virtually at a national level. Students from various colleges across the country participated, a few of them being - BITS Pilani, Jadavpur University, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIM Raipur, Thakur College and JBIMS.
    The event received 250+ registrations and 70 participants joined the first round of the event.

    The flagship event of MVM; Naandi, successfully completed its fifth year and the inaugural ceremony for the same was held on January 6, 2021.
    For the first time, Naandiwas held for four days and the entire festival was conducted virtually due to the pandemic.

    SYNC of H.R. College conducted the fifth edition of its flagship fest ELYSIUM. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the fest was conducted on virtual platforms with equal enthusiasm. Consisting of sessions, workshops, competitions and much more; Elysium makes sure it is not just focussing on fitness but also providing a platform for people to showcase their talents and skills alongside enjoying various activities organized in the intra collegiate fest. Participants included clubs from HR College as well as various representatives of different colleges all over Mumbai.

    MYSTIQUE
    April 1-4, 2021

    A brainchild of the HR B.M.S, 'Mystique': a cultural & management festival, aimed at providing young talent with the perfect opportunity and platform to dream, explore & perform. The maiden edition of the festival saw participation from 16+ top management colleges in Mumbai, in 20+ events. The festival had several categories such as Performing Arts, Fine Arts, Literary Arts, Sports, Informals, Management& Mega-Management.

    LET'S DISCOURSE 2.0 VIRTUAL DEBATE COMPETITION
    May 30 & 31, 2020

    The Public Speaking & Debating Society of H.R. College was the Knowledge Partner for Let's Discourse 2.0, a Virtual Debate Competition hosted by the Soft Skills Training Organisation, Enunciate School of Communication.
    Four skilled members of PSDS Varun Sriram, Vanshika Mithani, Yash Rajani and Omar Mansuri participated in this enriching debate competition comprising of Four Rounds of intense rebuttal, incorporating a variety of Debate Formats, having eliminations after each round. Our team members qualified for further rounds with Vanshika Mithani a finalist of the Competition, after winning 3 consecutive rounds of Debates.

    BOOK REVIEW COMPETITION
    April 20, 2021

    The Book Club of HR College organised its first intercollegiate “Book Review Competition”. In this intercollegiate competition, participants were asked to review a book of their choice in a report of 200-1000 words. Many entries were received.
    Sharika Gummandvelly from SYBMS was declared winner.

    VERSES VS VERSES
    April 7, 2020

    The event of "Verses Vs Verses" was an intercollegiate poetry recitation competition organized by the Club of Debate and Elocution (Jr.) of H.R College of Commerce and Economics. The OC received an overwhelming response by 98 students from various colleges. The finals were held on April 7, 2021 on Zoom.
    Each finalist was invited to perform in the front of judges and display their talent. The judges declared the winners based on different criteria such as voice modulation, expressions and diction. It was a tough decision for the judges to choose a single winner and hence there was a tie for the third position as well as second position.
