180 Degree Consulting HR College made its mark on India’s Competition Map!! The Mergers & Acquisitions Competition held by Delhi Technological University hosted a national-level case study competition M.a.N.iA: The Mergers & Acquisitions Competition, where over 1000 participants came together from the most prestigious institutes like IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, SRCC, XLRI and many more from across the country.

1st Runner Up: Shrushti Gandhi of HR College was awarded a prize of ₹6,500.

Case Study 2021

October 10, 2021

Third/ final year BMS students of HR College prepared a case study titled 'The Air India Conundrum', which was based on the privatization of Air India and solutions to bring back the Maharaja's legacy. They secured 1st position in the national level Case Study Writing & Solving Competition with a cash prize of ₹10,000, hosted by the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad (IIM- A).

The Winning Team from HR College had Rishit Jhaveri, Kushal Gowani, and Miti Shahand Hrithik Bathija as participants. This competition had participation from over 1000 students from renowned colleges across the country like IIMs, IIT, SRCC, FMS Delhi, and many more.

December 16-18, 2021

H.R. College of Commerce and Economics participated in “MIRAGE” an intercollegiate festival organized by Nagindas Khandwala College with over 45 participants. The college won podiums for over 5 individual events. The participants won “Turncoat - Management,” “Suron ka Rangmanch - Singing,” “Shake it Off - Dance,” and “Glam it Up - Styling”. Altogether, the participants gave their level best in the 2-day fest and the college contingent won the Best Assistant Contingent Leader award.

Two teams from H.R. College qualified for the final round. The team of Akshat Raheja and Zaheer Changla won the 1st position in the Inter-Collegiate Quiz Competition hosted by SIES Junior College of Commerce

INTERCOLLEGIATE ELOCUTION COMPETITION

January 25, 2022

The Public Speaking & Debating Society of H.R. College participated in the Elocution Competition organized by Somaiya Vidyavihar University on National Voters Day.

The event was presided over by the Nodal Officer of the State Election Commission, Maharashtra, and had an overall participation of 40 students.

P. Ajit Rao who secured 2nd Place in the event represented H.R. College of Commerce & Economics.

TALAASH 2021

February 19 & 20, 2022

H.R. College participated in the Talaash 2021 organised by Jai Hind College and won the Overall Position 2nd Place!!

‘Talaash’, known to be a benchmark among all fests in the city, is one of the biggest management festivals organised by the BMS and BBA department of Jai Hind College. The 22-year-old jamboree is a conceptualization of Management students - it’s a festival for, of, and by the BMS and BBA department. Having established itself in such a manner, it provides impetus to the students to learn, grow and showcase their managerial skills most practically and constructively.

KIRAN

January 22-24, 2022

H.R. College of Commerce and Economics won at “KIRAN”, an intercollegiate festival organized by KC College.

The college contingent sent over more than 110 participants, who gave their best to bring the trophy home. The participants took part in a variety of events which included dance, fashion show, cinema, management, gaming, and sports.

The college won the 1st and 2nd podium for various events. The Management Category Trophy was driven home by winning the most important business event “Showbiz.” Along with that, the participants won duet dance, styling, and gaming events. Altogether, the participants gave their level best in the multi-day fest and helped the college contingent provide their best.

Participants were asked to dress up as fictional characters casually and formally. Inaya Contractor, a student of TYBCom received the character Max, the one-eyed monster from Monsters Inc, and awed the audience with her fashionable recreation using horns and a one-eye accessory as a prop. She secured 2nd place in this fashion styling event - Glitz and Glam at KIRAN 2022.

Event name - The Devil Wears Prada

The participants of the Fashion styling event - The Devil Wears Prada were asked to recreate a fashion look by an influencer giving it their own touch. Inaya Contractor, a student of TYBCom recreated the western look by a popular fashion blogger in an Indian sense and won the event with her creativity.

Retake 2022

January 27, 28 & 29, 2022

The students of BAMMC participated in Retake the annual national mass media festival organized by the BAMMC students of L.S. Raheja College of Arts and Commerce. Strictly adhering to the covid 19 guidelines, the three-day festival was conducted on the virtual platform ‘Zoom’. The theme of the festival this year was “Maestro of Nemesis”. 34 colleges from across India participated in the festival this year.

TEAM ICHR of HR College participated in Arthashastra 2022 an annual academic festival organised by N.M. College and won the fest!

The name of the festival Arthashastra is inspired by the ancient Indian Sanskrit treatise on statecraft, economic policy, and military strategy, believed to be authored by Kautilya. The festival aims to provide the students with a competitive platform for learning and expanding their knowledge of financial markets.

Taarangan is an annual intercollegiate festival organised by the Thakur College of Science and Commerce. H.R. College of Commerce and Economics participated with a contingent of over 60 participants, who showcased immense talent on the stage. The participants were registered in a variety of events, including cinema, management, gaming, sports, and other cultural aspects.

The college won podiums for a vivid range of events for Group Dance, Debate, Photography, StandUp Comedy, Ludo, and Management Designing. It was a display of sheer talent and immense dedication by the HR team.
