Visit to The National Stock Exchange Ltd.

The Goldminers Club organized an educational visit to The National Stock Exchange Ltd., attended by 71 students and Teacher In Charge, Mrs. Laxmi Pillai, along with Mr. Gaurav Aswani, Mrs. Pooja Rawlani, and Mr. Ravi Dewani. The session, led by Mr. Purva Shah, provided an insightful overview of the NSE's history and various stock market concepts, including the NIFTY 50, complemented by live trading demonstrations. Mr. Shah’s engaging approach, infused with humor, made for an interactive experience, leaving the students enriched and informed.
Aditya Birla Pvt. Ltd. Visit

The Goldminers Club organized an educational visit to Aditya Birla Capital Ltd. Fifteen students, accompanied by the Teacher-in-Charge, Mrs. Laxmi Pillai, visited the company's Head Office.
Mr. Mihir Vora, Joint Vice President & Practice Leader of Property, Engineering & Large Risks, delivered an insightful session on the insurance industry. He provided a comprehensive overview of general insurance and highlighted the role of Aditya Birla Capital in the sector.
The session was interactive and engaging, and the students found the experience highly informative and enriching.
Career Guidance Session

The Goldminers Club hosted a career guidance session in the field of Finance, conducted by Mr. Pratham Barot, Co-founder and CEO of Zell Education. He discussed the wide scope of careers in Finance and Accounting, highlighting various courses that can open doors to exciting opportunities both in India and abroad.
Mr. Barot addressed several student queries and offered valuable guidance on selecting courses aligned with individual career goals. More than 100 students benefitted from this informative and engaging session.
Finance with Fun

The Goldminers Club organized a lively and engaging event titled Finance with Fun at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. Featuring 20 enthusiastic participants, the event included three creative rounds that blended financial knowledge with entertainment.
From quizzes and dares to a Bollywood-themed segment and a fun remake of Kaun Banega Crorepati—complete with a student mimicking Mr. Amitabh Bachchan—the event was filled with energy, laughter, and healthy competition. The top three winners were felicitated by Ms. Laxmi Pillai. The event’s success was made possible through the efforts of the core committee, the guidance of Teacher-in-Charge Ms. Laxmi Pillai, and the support of Principal Dr. Pooja Ramchandani.
Diwali Pujan
Date: October 29, 2024 | Attendance: 120+
The Goldminers Club organized a Diwali Pujan at the college to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Diwali. Teachers, students, non-teaching staff, and associates participated in singing the aarti and chanting stuti in honor of Lord Ganpati, Goddess Laxmi, Goddess Saraswati, and Goddess Durga.
The celebration also featured student dance performances and fun games for both students and teachers, which saw enthusiastic participation from all attendees.
Karjat Factory Visit – Pushpanjali Drums Pvt. Ltd.
Date: November 23, 2024
The Goldminers Club, in collaboration with the Commerce Club of H.R. College, organized an educational visit to Pushpanjali Drums Pvt. Ltd. in Karjat. A group of 25 students, accompanied by Teacher-in-Charge Mrs. Laxmi Pillai and faculty member Mr. Gaurav Aswani, participated in the visit.
Students gained valuable insights into the entire manufacturing process of metal barrels. The senior staff at the factory provided a detailed explanation of the production cycle—from cutting steel sheets from large coils to the final drum assembly.
The visit offered a comprehensive understanding of industrial operations such as production, inventory management, quality control, and dispatch, making it an enlightening experience for all attendees.
Award Recognition – Purnav Biswas
Purnav Biswas was honored as one of the Event Managers of the Year by the National Institute of Event Management (NIEM). The award ceremony was held on February 5 at Mayor’s Hall, Andheri West.
This prestigious recognition marks a proud and memorable milestone in his journey as an event manager.
