Bachelor of Management Studies – BMS

Bachelor of Management Studies - BMS

The accelerated pace and global scope of business today has made it extremely crucial for educational institutions to churn out those students who are leaders, who have mastered the latest concepts and practices and are also self assured individuals, willing to take on any challenge in life.

Until now, management programmes were imparted to graduate students from any stream. That is until the Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) was introduced by the University of Mumbai in 1999. Realizing the needs of the industry, H.R. College has devised its own style of teaching the programme to equip the students with the required skill sets.

At HR, we aim to develop managers with a sense of passion, creativity and commitment. The HR BMS students are taught how to, and not what to think, and are encouraged to develop the quintessential skills of effective communication, motivation and group dynamics.

HR BMS pursues knowledge hand in hand with the extra-curriculars with the aim of developing complete individuals with strong personal values. This is done in the following way. The BMS course :

  • Integrates industry interaction in the form of guest lectures, summer internships, field visits, live projects.
  • Develops communication skills and team work skills through presentations and workshops.
  • Encourages community service projects to help sensitise students to their environment.
  • Continuously encourages faculty training and enhancement activities. Follows a student-centric approach, thereby empowering students

INDUSTRY LINKAGES :

At HRBMS, industry interaction forms an integral part of the course. Thus live industry projects, industrial visit and workshops are woven into the fabric of the course. The ultimate fruition of industry interaction is placements. The corporate world today is proactively looking at BMS students as future managers.
