HINDI SAHITAYA PARISHAD (HSP)

A cultural club of the college, HSP aims to promote not only the national language Hindi, but also Indian ethics, values, and culture amongst the students by organising various activities like essay writing competitions, debates, and cultural events like Independence Day and Guru Purnima, etc.


ACTIVITIES 2023-2024

GURU PURNIMA

July 3, 2023         Attendees: 44

The auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima was organised by Hind Sahitya Parishad online. The event commenced with a dance-Guru Vandana.

Principal Dr. Pooja Ramchandani inspired the audience. Exhorting the students to take a pledge to never forget the efforts of our teachers, she told all to rever teachers and respect all human beings. Junior college supervisor Mrs. Bhavana Shah quoted in our national language, “5G aur 4G mein sabse bada ‘ji’ Mata ji hota hai" [Giving a contemporary example, she said that the mother is the biggest], emphasising mothers as the first gurus in our life.

Exquisite performances consisting of a Speech, Singing and 2 Group Dances delighted all. The highlight was all the teachers joyfully participating in the Teachers Games. The Core committee for the year 2023-2024 was revealed. The teacher in charge Mrs. Sheela Yadav gave a vote of thanks.

TALENT PARADE REPORT

September 9, 2023

Talent parade was held on the 9th of September 2023 in the Birla Matushri Hall. HSP had collaborated with the MVM club (Marathi club) of HR College. Talent parade is an Intra Collegiate event which includes Dancing, Singing, Fashion Show and Unique talent as its four main events. HSP x MVM had participated in Dancing and Unique talent. The theme was Globowood. We won second position in the dancing event.

Hasya Kavi Sammelan

Hindi Sahitya Parishad has hosted Hasya Kavi Sammelan 2023 on 26th of October at 3.20pm in Room No 3 on Second Floor (HR College)

This event was attended by our first year junior college students , that is the FYJC. The program started with lighting the diya i.n deep prajwalan and then we had a welcome dance performed by Mahek Kothari and Yesha Jain.

Our Respected Principal Dr Pooja Ramchandani Ma’am graced our event with her presence and inspiring words. She called the students Brand Ambassadors. Our Supervisor Bhavana Shah Ma’am and Bharti Ma’am also graced our event and motivated us through her speech.

The event witnessed 2 exquisite and delightful dance performances.

The first dance represented the festivals of India, second group dance incorporated Bollywood Dances. The main highlight of the event was the kavita’s performed by our students and teachers which created an atmosphere of humour and joy among the listeners.

Everyone then departed with a lot of memories to cherish and with a big smile on their faces. The event could not have been possible without the love, support and efforts of our Teacher In Charge Ms. Sheela Yadav.

ACTIVITIES 2022-2023

GURU PURNIMA

July 15, 2022

The auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima was organised by the Hindi Sahitya Parishad of H.R. College of Commerce & Economics. Guru Purnima was celebrated offline in college after two years. Every teacher was elated to attend the event offline after such a long time. Principal, Dr. Pooja Ramachandani and Vice Principal, Dr. Navin Punjabi honoured us with their presence along with their inspiring words. The program started with lightening the Diya i.e. Deep Prajvalan. The event then witnessed amazing performances consisting of a Welcome Dance - Guru Vandana, a speech on the importance of a guru in a person's life, singing, group dance, and a drama sequence.

Principal, Dr. Pooja Ramchandani enlightened everyone with her speech. She told the students that teachers want students to do well and only expect sincerity, joy, and gratitude from them. The new core committee of 2022-23 was announced and felicitated by Ms. Rekha Verma and Ms. Bharti Sharma. The club organized teacher’s games. Everyone enjoyed the teacher's games and the whole event turned out to be a great success. Our teacher-in-charge of the event, Ms. Sheela Yadav delivered the vote of thanks and concluded the event on a cheerful note.

HINDI DIWAS

September 14, 2022         Attendees :130

The auspicious occasion of Hindi Diwas was organised at 02:00 PM by the Hindi Vibhag of H.R. College. Our respected Principal, Dr. Pooja Ramchandani honoured us with her presence and her inspiring words. The programme started with Deep Prajvalan. The event then witnessed marvellous performances consisting of singing, speech, poems and dances. Followed by a quiz in which students were asked questions related to Hindi culture and heritage. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks.

NAVRATRI PUJA

October 1, 2022         Attendees: HSP Students, Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff

The Hindi Sahitya Parishad of H.R. College organized Navratri Puja at 03:20 PM. Dr. Pooja Ramchandani, Principal & Ms. Laju Sharma, Vice Principal (Jr.) graced the occasion with her presence and spoke about the significance of Navratri. The programme started with an Aarti of Goddess Durga.

The programme concluded with energetic garba dances, which enthralled everyone. The event could not have been possible without the love, support, and efforts of our teacher-in-charge Ms. Sheela Shahe.

HASYA KAVI SAMELLAN

December 16, 2022         Attendees: 130

The occasion of Hasya Kavi Samellan was organised by the Hindi Sahitya Parishad of H.R. College of Commerce & Economics. Principal, Dr. Pooja Ramchandani and Vice Principal (Jr.), Ms. Laju Sharma honoured us with their presence. The program started with lightening the diya and a welcome dance. The event then witnessed marvelous and superb performances consisting of recitation of poems, teacher's participation, group dances and much more. The principal in her speech described the importance of laughter in our lives and congratulated HSP for hosting such an event. The Vice Principal congratulated the entire HSP participants and thrilled everybody with her shayri. Teachers also participated enthusiastically and recited their kavitas and shayri’s.

Alumni, Ms. Vanshika Mithani also delighted everyone with her inspiring recitation. Everyone enjoyed a lot and the whole event turned out to be a great success.

GURU PURNIMA

July 30, 2021

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, the Hindi Sahitya Parishad organised the event online. The event commenced with a Guru Vandana.

Principal Dr. Pooja Ramchandani honoured us with her presence and spoke inspiring words. In her speech, she described students as brand ambassadors while Teachers play an important role in their life, thus we should celebrate them.

Next, we were graced with Respected Vice Principal Ms. Laju Sharma’s educative and instructive words, “Gurus are the people in our life who give us the motivation to challenge ourselves to get back up again.”

Supervisor Ms. Bhavana Shah perfectly quoted, “Gurus are the ones who take us from the darkness of ignorance to the brightness of knowledge.” She also emphasized that our mothers are the first gurus in our life.

The event then witnessed exquisite and delightful performances consisting of a Skit, Speech, Singing, and a Group Dance. The main highlight was seeing all the teachers participate in the Teachers Games with such eagerness and joy.

It was a lively evening full of enjoyment. The event concluded with the Teacher in Charge Ms. Sheela Yadav proposing a Vote of Thanks.

IMPORTANCE OF HINDI AS A LANGUAGE & VARIOUS CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

September 18, 2021

Hindi Department of H.R. College had organised a seminar on Hindi Diwas which has been celebrated in India since 1949 to raise awareness about the language.

Mr. Anand Prakash Singh - a famous Anchor, Producer, and Author, conducted the webinar on the “Importance of Hindi as a Language and various Career Opportunities,” He explained the meaning of Mother Tongue, the history of Hindi, its significance nowadays in the commercial world, and also the job opportunities available for people who are interested in the field of Hindi.

A very informative and educational session helped students to understand the Hindi Language and its importance.

NAVRATRI

October 8, 2021

The Hindi Sahitya Parishad had organized Navratri celebrations. Principal Dr. Pooja Ramchandani graced the occasion and spoke on the significance of Navratri.

Vice Principal, Ms. Laju Sharma, explained the meaning and significance of the 9 colours associated with Navratri. Supervisor Mrs. Bhavana Shah enlightened the students about the cultural value and religious interpretations of Navratri celebrations.

The program began with an Aarti followed by a dance in the praise of Goddess Durga. There was a dance performance by the ex-students of H.R. College, Ms. Gautami Angolkar and Ms. Shreya Adhya. This classical beauty was followed by singing which included a soul-stirring bhajan. Next was, 'Nav Durga' - a special performance by the students who depicted the 9 avatars of Goddess Durga. The program concluded with energetic Garba dances, which enthralled the audience. It was a lovely evening full of joy.

ACTIVITIES 2019-2020

  1. Guru Purnima was celebrated on 16th July 2019 to express our gratitude towards teachers. The club organized fun and games program for all the teachers. Students gave a wonderful speech on importance of Teachers. They also performed dances and sang songs to entertain teachers.
  2. Independence Day was celebrated with great fervor. There was a cultural program of patriotic songs and dances. It was followed by a speeches given by FYJC students. The celebration was co-presented with Cascade Club.
  3. Navratri was celebrated on 30th September 2019. There was a puja of Devi Mata in which the entire faculty, office staff and non-teaching staff were invited. The students also organised Garba in which both the students and staff participated.
  4. Essay writing competition was held on 18 July 2019. The purpose of this competition is to motivate the students to express themselves in a creative manner through Hindi Language.
  5. Bazaar- an event which allows students to exhibit and develop their business skills, saw great participation by our club members. The club won "Best Marketing Geek Award".
  6. The club also participated in the Talent Parade.
  7. The club members also took part in various inter collegiate events like Essay Competition organised by the Shri Ramchandra Mission and Elocution Competition organised by the Hindustani Prachar Sabha.
